A lot of photographers like to use bright colors and tons of props but I prefer to keep things super simple and focus on your baby just as he/she is.  When you look back at the images from your newborn session, don’t you want to remember the way your baby looked every day during these first few weeks?

By shooting mainly on white and keeping props to a minimum (if any at all), I keep that focus on your beautiful baby so you not only notice baby first but your images will ALWAYS be on trend….today and still in 50 years.  Props and crazy poses just date your images much like any trend…it all eventually fades.  So I keep things classic so that everything we create together can be cherished for years to come!

With posing, I follow your baby’s natural movements and cues.  Little yawns and stretches are among my favorite moments to capture.

While I know a lot of brand new moms are self conscious about having their photo taken right after having a baby, I highly encourage you to join in during the session.  I take great care to use angles that make you look your best and focus on the connection between you and your little one.  Family and parent images are very relaxed and never stiff or over posed.
