I had baby Ethan in my Pensacola studio and he was such a little cuddler.  I could have held him for hours.  His parents were enamored with him.  You could tell by the way they looked at him.  I just love watching new parents with their baby.  It takes me back to when my first baby was born.  Oh how I wish I had images like these of my first baby!  But newborn photography really wasn’t a thing back then. It was customary to get the first photos around the 3 month mark but I remember begging my photographer to do them as a newborn and she finally relented but wouldn’t do them before the 5 week mark because “they just look wadded up until that point”.  Oh how times have changed!  I love her 5 week images but newborns change so quickly that she looked completely different at that point than she did when she came home from the hospital.  I wasn’t a photographer other than just a hobbyist when my first was born 18 years ago but even then, I could see the beauty in a newborn baby and I fully believe I was meant to be a newborn photographer.   I’m so thankful to be able to create images like these for all of the families that I work with.  We spend our money on all types of things daily that are disposable but images last forever so its such a great investment and photos are something you never regret having!

And check out that smile!  Parents love it when I can catch their newborn smiling and baby Ethan gave me a great one!  Might be one of my favorite smiling newborn images ever!  And look at those little feet.  Anyone who follows me knows how obsessed I am with the little newborn details.
