Meet the L Family. My husband and I have known them for a few years now and I have to tell you, they are just wonderful people. You really couldn’t ask for better friends to have. S is a true inspiration. She has been fighting cancer now for many years and her strength just amazes me. She is absolutely radiant right now Her husband C is quite the character. He cracked me up constantly during our session. And you can really tell how much he loves S when he looks at her. It’s so apparent. I love that. And their matching Livestrong bands were adorable. S and C also brought along their son, T. I tried to capture a few shots of T with his parents and even though he’s not big on smiling, I was able to crack a few smiles from this cutie. He brought his guitar along with him and it made for a fun session. You’ll be seeing a bit more of this family shortly…..their daughter was a little under the weather the day we got together so they are going to come back when she’s feeling a little better. I can’t wait! I already have some ideas brewing and I’m hoping my fields will liven up a bit by then and it will start looking a little more like spring out here!

Before I post anything about my next session….I just want to apologize for my turnaround time on everyone’s proofs for the past few weeks. I have had severe computer issues that were causing my editing work to go extremely slow and after trying everything I could to get my computer fixed, I ended up having to finally get a brand new computer. I really shouldn’t have had to since my “old” computer was barely a year old….but it stopped working and I was beyond frustrated….so my wonderful husband….and I do mean wonderful….drove 3.5 hours to the nearest Apple store the other night and picked up a new one for me….so I am finally able to get caught up on everyone’s proofs and orders! Alright….onto my next session….

I got to meet up with a large family a few weeks ago…..seven children…..yes….SEVEN. Of course, they aren’t all siblings….I actually went to school with R and she has 3 beautiful little girls….and R’s sister’s 4 children came along to join in on the fun as well. The cousins ranged from ages 10 months to 14 years….I have to admit that this was a challenging session to do….to try to incorporate all the children together….especially the two 2 year olds (who were quite uninterested in the whole process)….was definitely challenging. The children were very sweet though….not to mention they all had gorgeous eyes….I don’t think any of the children had the same colored eyes but they were all equally beautiful. We did our best to get some nice shots of all the kiddos….we started in a local park and used the trees as shade from the direct harsh light of the morning. Afterward, we tried to move to a more urban area downtown but the light was too harsh by this point and the smaller children were really over having their pictures taken as well so it was time to call it a day

I had the pleasure last week to photograph a family who is very near and dear to me…..the C family. I met S last year as she was my son’s kindergarten teacher and our family just adores her (my son says he’s going to marry her one day ). I honestly don’t know where my son would be today without this lovely lady who we were very blessed to have come into our lives. Her husband, B, is a minister at a local church and they have 2 very beautiful, precious children…..S who is 10 and M who is 7. M is just darling….I absolutely loved his toothless grin. And I have to say that S is becoming quite a little lady….she’s just beautiful and I am in love with the pictures I got of her. I captured numerous images of the children together and alone as well as some family images. B’s brother, B, was visiting and came along to join in on the fun as well. These two fun brothers decided to give us a musical treat when they played their guitars out in my field. We were racing against the light but it was such a fun session. I have to say that I know that this family cherishes each other every single day and they feel truly blessed with all the little adventures that life throws at them.

I had the pleasure of having a session last week with the D family. I actually went to high school with S but haven’t seen her in probably 15 years now (wow, that makes me feel old!) It was so nice getting to see her again and meeting her beautiful family. Her husband joined for some family pictures and then headed off to go hunting while we tried to capture the kiddos. S told me that her son, B, might be hard to photograph….but he was more than willing and did such a great job for me. And her daughter, H, was a total ham from the get go. I absolutely adored her children….they were beautiful and fun.

I had the pleasure of meeting the R family Thursday evening. They had two precious boys. K was a handsome young man….and although he told me he didn’t have a girlfriend, I’m thinking that possibly he might have a few of them And Little H gave me a run for my money. He had tons of energy and honestly could have cared less about me or my camera being stuck in his face. Here’s a sneak peek mom and dad….hope you enjoy!

More Danger-Pensacola FL Family Baby Photographer

He’s baaaaack……I’m sure most of you will remember this little cutie since his newborn session was my very first blog post….my cute nephew, Milo Danger, is now 6 months old and I took a trip down to visit him a week ago. He’s changed SO much since I last saw him and I wanted to cry thinking about how much I have missed with him. I really hate that my brother and I live 8 hours apart! Milo is such a good baby….very calm like my brother. I think he favors his mom a lot now….he’s really beautiful. I see parts of my brother in him as well though too….his facial expressions and those gorgeous, long lashes he has! And talk about some CHUB! Milo is such a chunkster now….I LOVE it! And I must say…he looks so handsome in the cap I brought back for him from Ireland. Now….on to the next subject….my brother is the biggest goofball ever…..I had the hardest time doing this session because he constantly cracks me up….it was so much fun though! He makes the craziest faces and poor Jana couldn’t keep a straight face at times. Don’t worry guys….I put the more tame ones on here but I have a few that you will get to see later that are just too funny and SO Sean I’m going to be posting more shots than I normally would on a blog post but that’s mainly because I know we have some family members who are anxiously awaiting some peeks at little Milo (Mom and Anne…are you stalking the blog?! HA!)

Anyways….Sean and Jana….thanks so much for letting me spend the day with you guys….I had a blast! And Milo is so darn beautiful….you guys really did good with that one! And you’re such great parents too. I love you.

First Baby Girl-Pensacola Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing little Brylee yesterday. She was just a beautiful baby. Beautiful skin….beautiful little features….sweet as could be….and she was my very first girl baby too! Brylee was a little older than most of the newborns I shoot. She was 3.5 weeks old and I typically try to make sure I do my newborn sessions before the babies hit the 2 week mark….as a rule, they are sleepier and curlier during that first 2 week period and definitely tolerate me messing with them a lot better. Considering Brylee’s age, she did very well. She didn’t really want to stay asleep for me for the majority of the session but she did finally fall asleep toward the end and I was able to capture some lovely shots of her. I wasn’t able to change her positioning too much as she stirred easily but I’m quite happy with the pictures I was able to get and I surely hope her parents love them. Thanks Mom, for letting me come by and play with her!

Special Promotion-Pensacola Family Photographer

In honor of my daughter’s upcoming birthday (she’ll be nine on Sunday! SO hard to believe!), I am going to run a fall special on my sessions. Today through December 1st, my session fee will be applied as a print credit for all my clients and I will be offering a 10% discount on my print pricing. What does this mean? It means that when you book a session with me, I will take your $150 session fee and apply it toward your purchase of prints after the session is over and there will be an additional 10% savings on my print prices as well. This is a great deal and just in time for the holidays. So if you have a new baby and would like some precious newborn photos done to capture that precious, tiny miracle or would maybe like some great family pictures for your holiday cards this year, give me a call or shoot me an email. In order to qualify for this deal, you have to book your session no later than December 1st. The session can he held after December 1st if needed but I cannot guarantee holiday cards or prints in time for Christmas if your session is after this date. I have limited openings right now since I will be out of town for a few days in October….so book your session now!

And I can’t blog without adding a picture…..the picture on the top and on the left were taken a couple weeks ago and the one on the bottom was 2 years ago….its amazing how big my little girl is getting! Now if we can just hold the boys back a few more years, we’ll be great!

Nothing like a lil’ mud-Pensacola Family Photographer

Yep….that’s right….your eyes are not deceiving you. I let my 3 oldest play in the mud last week during all this lovely rain we’ve been having. Loudon, Abie and Tommy had a blast and I couldn’t let the opportunity pass to capture some great shots of their fun. Our 1 year old, Gus, was in bed sleeping soundly so sadly, he didn’t get to join in on the fun….there’s always next time though

First, I have to tell you all about a wonderful online photography workshop that I just finished with the fabulous Marta Locklear.

Check out her site…she is amazing. I was a little leery about taking an online workshop….just not sure how much I could possibly learn without having a live instructor in front of me….but I have to say…..Marta’s workshop exceeded my expectations. It was well organized and she provided tons of instruction and information to all 18 of us who attended. I wish it would never end….but sadly, we finished up on Sunday. As part of this workshop, I did a photo session last week of my lovely daughter, Loudon. She’s going to turn NINE at the end of this month and I just can’t believe how much she’s grown and changed in these almost 9 years….it’s quite bittersweet honestly….but she is growing into such a beautiful young lady….inside and out. We had a little bit of a hard session….it rained here on and off all week but we took a few hours one day and ran in and out in between the spurts of rain to make this session happen. And I have to tell ya…she worked that camera and was a great sport about the wet conditions. When we were done, she looked up at me and said “Wow mom. I can’t believe I’m a model!” Gotta love kids

I love you sweetheart…..
