Goodbye to 8-Pensacola FL Child Photographer

First, I have to tell you all about a wonderful online photography workshop that I just finished with the fabulous Marta Locklear.

Check out her site…she is amazing. I was a little leery about taking an online workshop….just not sure how much I could possibly learn without having a live instructor in front of me….but I have to say…..Marta’s workshop exceeded my expectations. It was well organized and she provided tons of instruction and information to all 18 of us who attended. I wish it would never end….but sadly, we finished up on Sunday. As part of this workshop, I did a photo session last week of my lovely daughter, Loudon. She’s going to turn NINE at the end of this month and I just can’t believe how much she’s grown and changed in these almost 9 years….it’s quite bittersweet honestly….but she is growing into such a beautiful young lady….inside and out. We had a little bit of a hard session….it rained here on and off all week but we took a few hours one day and ran in and out in between the spurts of rain to make this session happen. And I have to tell ya…she worked that camera and was a great sport about the wet conditions. When we were done, she looked up at me and said “Wow mom. I can’t believe I’m a model!” Gotta love kids

Family-Gulf Breeze Family Photographer

I took some quick snapshots of my lovely sister-in-law, Cindy, and my hoot-of-a-brother-in-law, Kevin, on Sunday. They just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary! What a big milestone to cross. Kevin had me and Cindy cracking up the entire time….he kept whispering into her ear while I was trying to take their pictures….he still won’t tell me what he was saying to her….but I can only imagine!Cindy is my husband’s oldest sister……I have to tell ya….my husband and I are very blessed to have Cindy and Kevin in our lives. They are so good to us. And they love our children to pieces….what more can you ask for when it comes to family?

But they ooze love for each other…..you can honestly see it everytime they look at each other….it’s sweet….

Baby No. 1-Navarre FL Newborn Photographer

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged…..we’ve had a crazy summer. My husband and I took the kids up to Ohio to visit my parents in July and they were gracious enough to watch all four of them while Darrin and I traveled to Ireland! I have the BEST parents don’t I?! My husband and I had a blast and got to see U2 in concert twice while we were there. Ireland was just gorgeous and I will have some snapshots from there to share very soon….I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had the time to get them on here. We had a great time but are glad to be home and finally settling back into our regular routine

And speaking of routine….I am happy to be taking on sessions again! My first session since I’ve been back was a newborn session for a lovely couple…..Nadia and Ulyan. They’ve been married for 4 years and just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family. I actually went to high school with Nadia and had not seen her for probably 15 years….so it was SO nice to get to see her again and meet her beautiful family! Baby Aleks was exactly 2 weeks old when I got to take his pictures and I have to say that he was SO good for me! He slept like a champ and didn’t seem to mind me moving him all around. The only thing he didn’t enjoy was curling his legs up….he wanted to keep those suckers stretched straight out most of the timeAleks is just a gorgeous baby….he arrived 3 weeks early and Nadia had a really long, extremely rough labor…..and you can tell just how grateful she is to have him in her arms. She and Ulyan could barely take their eyes off of Aleks…..I loved seeing that strong bond. Nadia’s parents were also at the session and this is the first grandchild for them and you could tell they are over the moon about him.

Thanks guys for allowing me to come into your little sanctuary and trusting me to handle your most precious cargoI hope you enjoy the pictures….I had a hard time narrowing down what to post on the blog.

Albums and Proof Boxes-Child Baby Family Newborn Maternity Photographer Pensacola FL

I’ve gotten a couple of inquires since posting my price list…..potential clients asking to see what the albums and proof boxes look like….so I thought I would post some product shots of what I offer….these aren’t my product shots but were provided to me by my album supplier until I can get some product shots of my own….the albums and proof boxes are just gorgeous and thick and great quality. I will also be offering some jewelry and handbags/wallets as well. I don’t have any product shots or any pricing info on them yet but stay tuned….I’m working on it!

Proof Boxes….these come in two sizes….5×7 and 8×10….each box comes with an image printed on the outside and 18-20 matted prints which can be displayed in your home and switched out as often as you like. These boxes are included when you purchase the digital session CD or the Digital Collection and will include a CD button to hold your session CD inside. They can also be purchased separately a la carte with or without the CD button. If you don’t purchase the entire session CD, you could add a low resolution web CD of your session or a DVD slideshow of your session to keep inside the box as well.
