I made it back to visit with baby P today. I had a little trouble getting him to stay asleep for me at first but once he did, I was able to get some really cute sleepy images of him. Isn’t he a cutie?! I had so much fun….thanks for letting me come back to play!!!!

K and J welcomed baby boy P into this world six days ago….he was overdue and definitely comfy where he was. He came into this world weighing in at 9 lbs 8.5 oz and was 20 inches long….definitely my biggest newborn to date….and I ate it up. I loved his chub….especially his little cheeks. Baby P was not really into our session I’m afraid so we’re going to try again on Monday Until then, here’s a sneak peek of today’s session.

I had the pleasure of getting to photograph Baby girl K a couple weeks ago. She was just a beautiful baby. Although I have to say…she definitely gave me a run for my money….she wouldn’t sleep at all the entire time I was there That seems to happen more frequently the older a baby gets though….and Miss K was almost 3 weeks old when I photographed her. Baby K is the fourth baby for the M family and the THIRD girl….I know her parents were just thrilled to add her to their growing family.

M family….thanks for allowing me to capture a few newborn shots of your newest arrival! I can’t wait to see her again and do your family photographs in the Spring next year!

I had the pleasure of photographing little Brylee yesterday. She was just a beautiful baby. Beautiful skin….beautiful little features….sweet as could be….and she was my very first girl baby too! Brylee was a little older than most of the newborns I shoot. She was 3.5 weeks old and I typically try to make sure I do my newborn sessions before the babies hit the 2 week mark….as a rule, they are sleepier and curlier during that first 2 week period and definitely tolerate me messing with them a lot better. Considering Brylee’s age, she did very well. She didn’t really want to stay asleep for me for the majority of the session but she did finally fall asleep toward the end and I was able to capture some lovely shots of her. I wasn’t able to change her positioning too much as she stirred easily but I’m quite happy with the pictures I was able to get and I surely hope her parents love them. Thanks Mom, for letting me come by and play with her!

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged…..we’ve had a crazy summer. My husband and I took the kids up to Ohio to visit my parents in July and they were gracious enough to watch all four of them while Darrin and I traveled to Ireland! I have the BEST parents don’t I?! My husband and I had a blast and got to see U2 in concert twice while we were there. Ireland was just gorgeous and I will have some snapshots from there to share very soon….I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had the time to get them on here. We had a great time but are glad to be home and finally settling back into our regular routine

And speaking of routine….I am happy to be taking on sessions again! My first session since I’ve been back was a newborn session for a lovely couple…..Nadia and Ulyan. They’ve been married for 4 years and just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into their family. I actually went to high school with Nadia and had not seen her for probably 15 years….so it was SO nice to get to see her again and meet her beautiful family! Baby Aleks was exactly 2 weeks old when I got to take his pictures and I have to say that he was SO good for me! He slept like a champ and didn’t seem to mind me moving him all around. The only thing he didn’t enjoy was curling his legs up….he wanted to keep those suckers stretched straight out most of the time Aleks is just a gorgeous baby….he arrived 3 weeks early and Nadia had a really long, extremely rough labor…..and you can tell just how grateful she is to have him in her arms. She and Ulyan could barely take their eyes off of Aleks…..I loved seeing that strong bond. Nadia’s parents were also at the session and this is the first grandchild for them and you could tell they are over the moon about him.

Thanks guys for allowing me to come into your little sanctuary and trusting me to handle your most precious cargo I hope you enjoy the pictures….I had a hard time narrowing down what to post on the blog.

New Baby K-Pensacola FL Newborn Photographer

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing a brand new baby boy and let me tell ya….he was soooo adorable! His momma is J….who I did maternity pictures for a couple weeks ago. Baby K was due to be born by a c-section last week but momma went into labor two days prior to this scheduled day so they went ahead and did the surgery a couple days earlier than planned. He wasn’t quite as large as J said she expected him to be since he was so close to his due date….only 6 lbs and 13 oz….but he was 20 inches long and had the longest arms and legs and fingers….and I loved all the dark hair he had too! Big sister E seems to be enjoying having a new brother…she supplied loads of kisses! And in between shooting her brother, she modeled for me….watch out world….you might see her as a Top Model one day…she had the moves DOWN! Thank you so much J, B and E for allowing me to come into your home and capturing your brand new bundle. He’s so precious that I wanted to take him home with me

Milo Danger- Pensacola FL Newborn Photographer

I am honored to say that my very first blog post will be all about my brand new nephew! My older brother, Sean, and his wife, Jana, just welcomed their first baby…..a beautiful 7lb 5 oz baby boy! His name? Milo Danger. Yep….you read that right! His middle name is Danger. For any of you that know my brother….the name is a perfect fit I visited my brand new nephew right after he was born and he is just the sweetest, calmest little baby. His personality seems very similar to my brother….laid back! He sleeps good, eats good…..rarely cries. I figured he would sleep through the entire photo session. Well, I was kinda wrong. He never made much noise but he HATED being naked and we were never able to get more than a few seconds of shoot time in before he was over it all…..so being the patient aunt that I am….I shot for about 4 hours in between cuddling and holding and loving on the little guy…..of course, you didn’t have to twist my arm through any of this…..I LOVE babies…..especially this little baby. In all this time, I was able to get a few good shots of baby Milo and I really hope that my brother and his wife (and all the grandparents of course!) really love what I captured.

Sean and Jana….when I stop and think about it….I can’t believe you guys are parents now! It’s surreal to me. My brother’s a DADDY now! Brings tears to my eyes. Then again….it’s about time! You’re gonna have to catch up to me! Only 3 more to go and you’re there!

Seriously though….you did good. He’s absolutely beautiful and precious….and I’m so in love…..and I can tell by the way you both look at Milo….that you’re in love too.
