Remember this little cutie? I did a newborn session with him and he had the record number of smiles during a session. So adorable.

Well, he came back to see me for some 6 month pictures and he’s just as cute as can be. Not as many smiles for me this time around because the poor little guy was teething. But we got some cute shots and even got big brother and big sister in on the fun this time. And mom too!

Little Miss Red is back. I did her newborn photos and just fell in love with this little redheaded darling. She’s now 6 months old and back to see me…along with her cute as a button big brother, who’s not quite 3 yet. Bigger than normal preview of images but I had so much fun with you guys today so I can’t help myself!

Well, it’s hard for me to believe but my oldest is celebrating her 10th birthday today! Seems like just yesterday, I was bringing her home from the hospital. Birthdays are always bittersweet for me. I love to see my children grow and change and learn new things….but I always secretly wish they could stay little forever. I decided to grab a few shots yesterday….her last day of being 9. We will more than likely do a more involved photo session in a couple weeks

My daughter just got braces this morning. She was extremely nervous and didn’t really want to go through with it (let’s face it, what child DOES want braces) but we’ve been talking about how she will be glad she gets it out of the way now, while she’s young rather than having them when she’s older like I did. She’s only 9 so she didn’t get a full set since she doesn’t have all of her permanent teeth just yet…..today she got two brackets and they will add two more when she goes back next time….she really looks cute with them and I think is secretly proud of the way they look on her….she got lime green bands and she’s in heaven with her colorful mouth now. Anyway….she asked me to take a few pictures of her yesterday evening and I’m always up for taking pictures We’ll have to do another mini session with her new smile soon!

Our great niece came out to stay for a few days with us for Spring Break. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited our children were to have her here…..but especially Loudon….she was on cloud nine. They asked if I would take some photos of them together so a couple evenings ago, we walked out into the field and had a little fun. I love Spring. The colors are starting to come alive outside and it makes me happy

Short and sweet….I just wanted to say Happy 4th Birthday to my little man! I cannot believe how quickly you are growing up! Out of all of my children, you are certainly the most mischievous of the bunch and you definitely keep my on my toes….but I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my time.
I love you Tommy. You bring light to everyone’s day.

I came across some images of my son today….they were taken a couple months ago while he was out in our field….exploring….with his best friend, Woody….as usual. He drags Woody around on a daily basis and I love watching him do it. He has a true friendship with that doll and I dread when the time will come that he grows and changes and he trades in Woody for cars, iPods and girls. Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my children grow and change and become interested in new things…I do….but it’s also a very bittersweet thing to experience. My goal this year is to take the time to capture all the little things with my children….the things they love and the little moments when they don’t know I’m watching…..these are the things I remember most and the ones I feel are the most important to capture.

My Abe…..he has the biggest, most tender heart of any child I know…..
